The CD-ROM contains reconstructions, anatomical domains and annotation for the Edinburgh Mouse Atlas. The annotation and instructions can be read and browsed using an html browser e.g. Netscape or Internet Explorer. For some of the data the browser must be capable of displaying images and Java enabled.

The code for viewing the reconstructions using SectionView will currently only work on a Unix Workstations. We have binaries for a number of systems listed below which can be downloaded by clicking the required download button. All these binaries will appear on the next version of the CD-ROM. Using the section viewer will only be efficient if there is at least 64 MB RAM. The MAPaintSet file includes some test data and very brief instructions for reading it in, including how to read in from a set of 2D images to create a 3D stack.

NOTE: Some web browsers may decode the gzip file and treat the binary as a text file. To avoid this select the required binary with <shift>  pressed which on most browsers will download the file to your local disc.. If this does not work then please contact ma-tech@hgu.mrc.ac.uk
