System requirements for emap Java tools

The fundamental requirement for running our Java Software is to have Java 1.5 (or later) installed.

Our preferred method of delivery is Java WebStart (which comes with Java 1.5), therefore if you have Java 1.5 installed you will probably be able to run our Java applications.

Memory requirements

We recommend a minimum of 1GB random access memory (RAM). More is better, less may possibly still work.

Platforms

We test our Java applications on Linux (SUSE 10), Macintosh OS X (10.4, power-book & intel) and Windows (2000, XP).
Due to the fact that the applications generally rely on native libraries for image processing, they may not work properly on other platforms.

Graphics cards

We recommend graphics cards that support OpenGL.
