Homozygous disruption of this gene may lead to a partially penetrant, strain-dependent phenotype of embryonic lethality, reduced postnatal body weight, lung abnormalities, brain malformations, and reduced fertility. Mice homozygous for a hypomorphic gene-trap allele display skeletal defects.
