Type:in situ hybridisation probe
Identifier:MGI:1098117
Entity Detected:Fgf8, fibroblast growth factor 8 ( MGI:99604)
Notes:The Fgf8 probe used in this study by Acampora et al., 2003 [PMID:12915318] is indicated as that described by Acampora et al, 1998 [PMID:9811592] , who in turn refer to Acampora et al., 1997 [PMID:9342056] i.e. a "712 bp PCR product corresponding to the AIGF1 variant (Tanaka et al., 1992 [PMID:1409588] ) and containing the coding region from amino acid 1 (Crossley et al., 1996 [PMID:8598907] ) plus 103 bp of 3' UT". Editor's Note: Tanaka et al, describe two clones pSC17 and pSC15. It is unclear from the text which of these is the "variant" described by Acampora et al., 1997.
