Entity Detected:Gad1, glutamic acid decarboxylase 1 ( MGI:95632)
Notes:The Gad1 (Gad67) probe used in this study by Corbin et al., 2000 [PMID:11060228] is described as that used by Behar et al, 1994 [PMID:8131264] . Editor's note: Behar et al (1994) describe two Gad1 probes: "One probe (ES) detects only the transcipts that include the ES stop codon. The other probe (AT) does not discriminate between transcripts encoding the full-length GAD proteins and the alternatively spliced variants, hence, the AT probe detects both ES and full-length transcripts". It is not defined which of these was used in this study by Corbin.
