StructureLevelPatternNotes
forebrain
detected detected
The authors state that at this stage endogenous Otx1 is also expressed and this antibody does not distinguish between Otx1 and Otx2.
midbrain
detected detected
The authors state that at this stage endogenous Otx1 is also expressed and this antibody does not distinguish between Otx1 and Otx2.
hindbrain
detected detected
regionalExpression is at the midbrain-hindbrain boundary. The authors state that at this stage endogenous Otx1 is also expressed and this antibody does not distinguish between Otx1 and Otx2.

Notes:The anti-OTX2 antibody used in this study by Acampora et al., 2003 [PMID:12915318] is indicated as that described by Acampora et al., 2001 [PMID:11731460] who reference Acampora et al., 1998 [PMID:9811592] who describe it as "polyclonal antisera directed against OTX2 (Mallamaci et al., 1996 [PMID:8887325] )". Mallamaci et al describe the OTX2 antigen used for production of the antisera as being translated from a "0.9kb filled-in EcoRI-EcoRI fragment, corresponding to the coding region of the murine Otx2 cDNA (Simeone et al, 1993 [PMID:8101484] )". The sequence is not reported Simeone et al - exact end points of antigen sequence undefined.
