Notes:The Dlx1 probe used in this study by Miura et al., 1997 [PMID:9256348] is described as being transcribed from a linearised plasmid containing the "Dlx1 cDNA insert (Price et al., 1991 [PMID:1676488] )". The probe was then treated with alkaline for size reduction to an average 150 nucleotides. Editor's note: Insufficient information to ascertain whether this probe was made against the entire insert of the cDNA clone described by Price, or whether it was a smaller PstI/KpnI fragment which was used as a probe in that study and covered "amino acid 42 in the third [homeodomain] helix to 24 amino acids downstream of HD [homeodomain]".
