Entity Detected:Prox1, prospero-related homeobox 1 ( MGI:97772)
Notes:Prox1 expression was detected in this study by Burke & Oliver, 2002 [PMID:12351178] thus: "We have previously reported the inactivation of the mouse Prox1 gene by the in-frame insertion of the lacZ gene. The lacZ gene, which encodes beta-Gal, was inserted at amino acid 224 of Prox1 (Wigle et al., 1999 [PMID:10080188] ). The resulting lacZ activity allowed us to easily detect cells that normally express Prox1 throughout development."
