Notes:The Foxg1 (BF-1) probe used in this study by Furuta et al., 1997 [PMID:9187146] is described as "a 1.2 kb fragment of Bf1 (a kind gift from Dr Eseng Lai; Tao and Lai, 1992 [PMID:1350202] )". In their paper, Tao and Lai (1992) describe the probe as a rat sequence "containing the BF-1 cDNA from the NheI site at nt 1265 to the 3' end" (see Figure 1 therein and the corresponding Genbank sequence M87634.1)." Editor's note: the fragment as described by Tao and Lai is 1.5kb, which differs to the description from Furuta et al. Ambiguous information - actual sequence of this probe is unclear.
