NCX1-specific primers were designed to amplify the region between base pairs 442-461 (upstream primer 5'-AAGAAACCGAATGGAGAGAC-3') and 1027-1046 within exon 2 (downstream primer 5'-TGGTCCCTCTCATCAACTTC-3')".
