Notes:The PKD1 (Prkcm) probe used in this study by Oster et al., 2006 [PMID:16377259] is described by the authors as covering the "C1 and C1/PH regions", relating to "GenBank accession number NM_008857", and being PCR amplified using "5'-CTCCAATGTGTCCCTCACTGGA-3' and 5'-GGTCTGCATCTGGATCTTGCAT-3'" from either "whole brain or E14.5 embryo". Editors note: It appears there is a typographical error in the authors description. The Seq ID should be NM_008858 (Prkcm) and not NM_008857 (Prkci) as indicated in the text. (The primers given match NM_008858 and not NM_008857, and NM_008858 is the sequence for PKD1 (Prkcm).
