Type:in situ hybridisation probe
Identifier:MGI:19377
Entity Detected:Dlx2, distal-less homeobox 2 ( MGI:94902)
Notes:The Dlx2 probe used in this study by Clouthier et al., 2000 [PMID:10625532] is indicated as that previously described by Robinson & Mahon, 1994 [PMID:7893603] who in turn reference Robinson et al., 1991 [PMID:1687503] . Robinson et al, 1991 describe two probes, transcribed from: "either the entire 1.4-kb EcoRI cDNA insert or a 634-bp PstI-EcoRI fragment lacking the homeobox derived from the 3' end of the cDNA (nucleotides 828-1461)". It is not clear which of these was used in this study by Clouthier et al, however Robinson et al 1991 do state that both probes give "identical results".
