Notes:The Mef2c probe used in this study by Risebro et al., 2006 [PMID:17050624] is indicated as that used by Edmondson et al., 1994 [PMID:8026334] who state "Two probes, which gave identical in situ hybridization patterns, were used for MEF2C. One probe encompassed the first 91 codons of the MEF2C open reading frame plus 139 nucleotides of 5' untranslated region (Martin et al., 1993 [PMID:8506376] ). The other encompassed nucleotides 673-1046". Editors Note: it is not stipulated by Risebro et al. which of these probes was used.
