Notes:The anti-MEF2D antibody used in this study by Subramanian & Nadal-Ginard, 1996 [PMID:8817457] is described as a "rabbit polyclonal antisera specific for MEF2D which was raised against a pGEX-GST bacterial fusion protein containing the C-terminal amino acids 269-521, according to standard procedures". Editors Note: See Martin et al, 1994 [PMID:8114702] Fig1 for the sequence of mouse MEF2D. As stated therein, there are two isoforms of MEF2D (514 or 507 amino acids in length) - see also the sequences submitted to accompany this paper: AAB29973.1 (514aa) and AAB29974.1 (506aa) and the mouse MEF2D RefSeq NP_598426.1 (507aa). The last 252 amino acids includes the alternatively spliced 7 amino acids. The exact region used as antigen by Subramanian & Nadal-Ginard 1996 is unclear from the description.
