Notes:The Hoxd1 probe used in this study by Peichel et al., 1997 [PMID:9342041] is indicated as that originally described by Frohman & Martin, 1992 [PMID:1356009] i.e. "an 831 bp Hox-4.9 HindIII-SalI fragment (probe 1, Fig. 2A)". Editors Note: In Fig 2A of Frohman & Martin, the probe is shown extending from a HindIII site to the 3' end of the transcript. There are no SalI sites in the Hoxd1 cDNA sequence, therefore the SalI site mentioned is presumed to be linker derived.
