Notes:The Adra2a (alpha2A-AR) probe used in this study by Wang & Limbird, 1997 [PMID:9415717] is described as being "synthesized from templates representing the nearly full-length coding sequence of alpha2A-AR, as previously described by Wang et al., 1996 [PMID:8843087] ." Editors Note: Wang et al 1996 depict/describe this probe in Fig 1 as a 1271bp BglII-Sau3AI fragment that extends from the 2nd transmembrane domain to a Sau3AI site in the 3' UTR. There is one BglII site in the mouse Adra2a cDNA RefSeq NM_007417.3 and 5 Sau3AI sites within the 3'UTR of this sequence. It is assumed that the 3' end of the probe is found at the Sau3AI site at nt position 2679 as the resultant insert length is 1281bp (i.e. nearly 1271bp), whereas the closest other Sau3AI sites are found ~300 nt either side.
