Apaf1/lacZ is widely expressed in developing embryos heterozygous for the lacZ-containing allele.
Annotation Validation: EMAGE Editor
Detection Reagent
Type:in situ reporter
Entity Detected:Apaf1, apoptotic peptidase activating factor 1 ( MGI:1306796)
Notes:Apaf1 expression was detected in this study by Cecconi et al., 2004 [PMID:15105372] using a "promoterless IRES-lacZ cassette and thus the expression of the lacZ gene is under the control of Apaf1 transcription regulatory elements." The construct was previously described by Cecconi et al., 1998 [PMID:9753320] and originally by Chowdhury et al., 1997 [PMID:9092658] as follows: Insertion of a gene trap vector at the 3' end of the gene downstream of the position corresponding to amino acid 1018.
