Notes:The Bicc1 (Bic-C) probe used in this study by Wessely et al., 2001 [PMID:11231089] is described as "the full-length mBic-C EST linearized with SalI and transcribed using the T7 RNA polymerase." Editors note: the mouse Bic-C EST sequence ID is mentioned elsewhere in the manuscript as AW240366 (this corresponds to the 5' sequence read from the insert of IMAGE:2655954). The authors also state elsewhere that the GenBank accession number for mBic-C is AF319464. AF319464.1 is presumed to be the 'full-length' insert sequence (of the 'EST' clone IMAGE:2655954) referred to by the authors, as AF319464.1 and AW240366.1 are 100% identical over the length of AW240366.1, and the AW240366.1 sequence is also found at the 5' end of AF319464.1. SalI does not cut within AF319464.1, therefore the probe was made against the full insert.
