Notes:The Ntan1 probe template used in this study by Kwon et al., 2000 [PMID:10805755] is described as follows: "A 0.3-kb fragment of the Ntan1 cDNA (nt 108 to 448), that was encompassed by the deleted region in the Ntan1-/- allele was subcloned into XbaI-XhoI sites of pBluescript II SK+ (Stratagene), and the resulting plasmid, pMR27, was used as a template for synthesizing antisense RNA probe labeled with digoxigenin". Editors note: It is unclear which specific Ntan1 cDNA sequence the co-ordinates given by the authors refer to. It could be a cDNA sequence that is depicted pictorially in Fig2c therein (which appears to start at the ATG codon), or U57692.1 which is a different Ntan1 cDNA sequence previously submitted to GenBank by Varshavsky (last author of Kwon et al., 2000), (which neither XbaI nor XhoI cuts).
