Notes:Olfml3 (Ont3) expression was detected in this study by Ikeya et al., 2005 [PMID:16172977] using a gene trargeting approach. A targeting vector containing an nlacZ-loxP-neo-loxP cassette replaced sequence beginning at the second codon. The endogenous ATG remained in the locus. LacZ expression was first detected in E7.25 in the proximal region of the allantois and expanded to the presumptive lateral plate mesoderm by E8.0.
