Type:in situ hybridisation probe
Identifier:MGI:2148101
Entity Detected:Shh, sonic hedgehog ( MGI:98297)
Notes:The Shh probe used in this study by Chang et al, 1994 [PMID:7720571] is defined as "a 249 bp BamHI/SmaI fragment", "that extends from residues 297 to 380 within the Hhg-1 open reading frame (see Fig. 1 therein) ". Editor's note: This information is ambiguous i.e. Restriction cutting of Shh cDNA sequences with BamHI and SmaI identify only one fragment in the region of 249bp (e.g. a 251nt fragment from nt930-1180 in NM_009170.2), however this does not correspond to a region between amino acid residues 297-380 (in the example here, this fragment would extend from aa201-aa284). Therefore it is unclear which region is covered by the probe.
