Notes:The Sox18 probe used in this study by Matsui et al., 2006 [PMID:10742113] 16895970} is indicated as that used by Pennisi et al., 2000 [PMID:null] who state that "the Sox18 in situ probe was transcribed from a PstI/XbaI cDNA fragment spanning a portion of the transactivation domain and 3'UTR (coding nt 818-1,673)". Editors Note: Pennisi et al, do not refer these nucleotide co-ordinates to a particular sequence, however there is an XbaI/PstI fragment of the same size in the mouse Sox18 cDNA RefSeq NM_009236.2 (nt 668-1521).
