Notes:The Sparcl1 (SC1) probe used in this study by Ringuette et al., 1998 [PMID:9732554] is described by the authors as follows: "cDNAs coding for a 300-bp domain 5' to the SPARC-like domain of rat SC1 (Accession number U27562) and mouse SC1 (Accession number U77330) were used to generate digoxigenin-labelled sense and anti-sense cRNA probes". Editors Note: it is not specified whether the mouse or rat probe was used in this example however the authors state that "staining patterns obtained were found to be identical using either SC1 cRNA source".
