Notes:Mllt3 (Af9) expression in this study by Collins et al., 2002 [PMID:12242306] was assayed in mice heterozygous for a targeted allele in which the second coding exon of the endogenous gene was disrupted by homologous recombination of a construct containing IRES-lacZ and a floxed neo gene and subsequent excision of the selection cassette. A single loxP site was left downstream of the lacZ reporter, which was expressed via the endogenous promoter. RT-PCR analysis of homozygous mutant mice showed a lack of normal transcript.
