Notes:Cdk8 expression was detected in this study by Westerling et al., 2007 [PMID:17620419] in heterozygote animals generated from a gene trap line (designated according to JAX convention as Cdk8GT(pGT0Lxf)/Byg) which was obtained from Bay Genomics. The gene trap vector pGT0Lxf was inserted into intron 4 and is predicted to generate a fusion protein of 163 kDa with 152 N-terminal amino acids from Cdk8 fused to 1323 amino acids of the beta-geo selection marker. This allele is a functional null and the protein product has no kinase activity.
