Entity Detected:Setdb1, SET domain, bifurcated 1 ( MGI:1934229)
Notes:Setdb1 (Eset) expression was assayed in this study by Dodge et al., 2004 [PMID:14993285] in heterozygote embryos where in one allele, exons 15-22 were replaced with an IRES-betageo cassette. These exons encode the pre- and post-SET catalytic region of the protein, and removal was predicted to abolish all activity. X-gal staining detected lacZ expression in heterozygous embryos.
