Expression pattern clarity: two stars
Find spatially similar wholemount expression patterns: Find spatially similar wholemount patterns
Notes:
Around E9 9.5, mesenchymal cells at the base of the sinus venosus form a cauliflower-like structure and extend villous projections toward the heart. This transitory structure is called the proepicardial organ (PEO).

Entity Detected:Tnc, tenascin C ( MGI:101922)
Notes:The Tnc probe used in this study by Imanaka-Yoshida et al., 2003 [PMID:12823230] is indicated as that used by Imanaka-Yoshida et al., 2001 [PMID:11454990] i.e. "Antisense and sense cRNA probes were prepared by in vitro transcription of mouse TNC cDNA. We used two types of cRNA probes to examine TNC isoforms. The 6th through 11th fibronectin type III-like repeats (A1, A2, A4, B, C, and D) of mouse TNC are alternatively spliced sites. TNC mRNA including these sequences generates TNC isoforms of large molecular weight. In the present study, a probe derived from the cDNA encoding these repeats, designated FNAE by Tsukamoto et al (Tsukamoto et al, 1991 [PMID:1714291] ), was used alone to detect large isoforms. Probes for other regions were used as a mixture to detect mRNAs for all isoforms of TNC." Editors Note: It is not specified which of these probes was used in the current study.
