Notes:The Use1 (mED2) probes used in this study by Duan et al., 2006 [PMID:16939003] are described as follows: "mED2 cDNA was subcloned into pBluescript KS plasmid. mED2 antisense RNA probe was prepared in vitro by HindIII cut for the DNA template linearization and synthesized by T7 RNA polymerase; and sense RNA probe by BamHI cut and T3 RNA polymerase synthesis". Editors note: Elsewhere, the authors state that the mED2 cDNA sequence was submitted to GenBank and assigned the identifier AY842453. BamHI and HindIII do not cut this sequence internally therefore the probes cover the whole insert.
