Notes:The Vcan probe used in this study by Henderson et al., 1997 [PMID:9486530] was "the V1 probe", or "probeA" which was amplified "from E10.5 CBA/Ca embryos. Primers were designed to amplify portions of the V1 splice form of mouse versican (see Fig. 1). Amplification between base pairs 6919-6939 and 7337-7357 of the V1 transcript generated probe A".
