regionalThere is Vegfc expression in regions corresponding to lymphatic vascular formation (i.e. the jugular region where the first lymph sacs form)
Annotation Validation: EMAGE Editor
Detection Reagent
Type:in situ reporter
Entity Detected:Vegfc, vascular endothelial growth factor C ( MGI:109124)
Notes:Vegfc expression was assayed in this study by Karkkainen et al., 2004 [PMID:14634646] in embryos heterzygous for a targeted reporter allele where a portion of first coding exon, including the start codon and the coding region, was replaced with a lacZ and neo cassette inserted by homologous recombination. RT-PCR analysis of homozygous mutant embryos indicated that no normal transcript was produced from this locus. LacZ transcript was detected by RT-PCR analysis of mutant embryos.
