Expression pattern clarity: three stars
Find spatially similar wholemount expression patterns: Find spatially similar wholemount patterns
Notes:
Whole-mount embryo of 10.5 dpc. The vitelline duct is strongly positive (arrowhead) and connects to the equally positive yolk sac (at far left). The midgut is also positive (arrow) throughout its length.

Type:in situ reporter
Entity Detected:Vil1, villin 1 ( MGI:98930)
Notes:Vil1 (villin) expression was assayed in this study by Braunstein et al., 2002 [PMID:11984877] in embryos heterozygous for a targeted allele where the targeting construct, containing lacZ and neo, replaced 4.6 kb of genomic sequence encompassing a portion of the first coding exon (exon 1) and the following 2 exons (exons 2 and 3). An upstream non-translated exon was left intact. While low levels of aberrant transcipt were detected in mutant mice, neither normal nor truncated protein was detected by Western blot analysis.
