Fibrillarin expression, as measured by beta-galactosidase activity, "was ubiquitous until 11.5 dpc".
Annotation Validation: EMAGE Editor
Detection Reagent
Type:in situ reporter
Entity Detected:Fbl, fibrillarin ( MGI:95486)
Notes:Fbl (Fibrillarin) expression was assayed in this study by Newton et al., 2003 [PMID:14612397] in embryo heterozygous for a gene trapped allele, where the endogenous locus was disrupted by insertion into intron 4 of the pGT1,-2, or-3 retroviral gene trap vector containing a splice acceptor site, beta-geo, and an SV40 poly-A signal. A fusion protein consisting of the N-terminal 132 amino acids of the Fbl protein fused to lacZ is expressed from the mutated locus.
