Notes:The Gpx4 (PHGPx) probe used in this study by Schneider et al., 2006 [PMID:16458079] was one of two riboprobes generated by RT-PCR using "two primer pairs (OligomPHGPxcompleteforw1/OligomPHGPxcompleterev1: 5'-CTGGCAGGCACCATGTGTGCATCC-3'/5'-AGGCAGCCAGGGTGAAGCTCGAGC-3') and (PHGPxE4forw1/PHGPxE7rev1: 5'- CAACGTCAAGTTTGACATGTACAGC-3'/5'-GCCAG GGTGAAGCTCGAGCCCAGG-3')" where the former generates a "full-length" and the latter a "3' murine specific PHGPx" probe, respectively. It is not specified which of these was used for this assay.
