StructureLevelPatternNotes
trunk somite
strong strong
gradedIn E10.25-E10.5 (30-35 somites) embryos the site of initial expression extends to between somites VIII-X. Expression levels are left-right asymmetrical in somite pairs where it is stronger on the left (see EMAGE:5389 for the right-hand-side view).
branchial arch
detected detected
Expression levels are similar on the left and right sides (see EMAGE:5389 for the right-hand-side view).
limb
detected detected
Expression levels are similar on the left and right sides (see EMAGE:5389 for the right-hand-side view).

Type:in situ hybridisation probe
Identifier:Hbegf probeA
Entity Detected:Hbegf, heparin-binding EGF-like growth factor ( MGI:96070)
Notes:The Hbegf (HB-EGF) probe used in this study by Golding et al., 2004 [PMID:15533812] was "full-length mouse HB-EGF cDNA" which was "a gift of Michael Klagsbrun (Harvard Medical School). This was cut with BamHI to yield 400 and 700 bp fragments that were separately sub-cloned into pBluescript SK+ (Stratagene) and used to generate antisense probes that were admixed."
