Identifier:Hgf probeA
Entity Detected:Hgf, hepatocyte growth factor ( MGI:96079)
Notes:The Hgf probe template used in this study by Rappolee et al., 1996 [PMID:8635233] is described as follows: "HGF ligand insert of 2.6 kb in size, was subcloned into pGEM ". "The HGF ligand insert was derived from sequences in the entire 3'-translated region and 3'-untranslated region" which corresponds to "nucleotides 0 to 2600 (Matsumoto & Nakamura, 1992 [PMID:1312869] , Weidner et al, 1993 [PMID:8383506] ". Editor's note: Matsumoto & Nakamura show a ~6kb cDNA sequence for human Hgf in Fig 1 therein and Weidner et al refer to several human cDNAs (from placenta, liver, leukocytes and fibroblasts) although they do not report the sequences of any. From the given information, it is unclear which sequence Rappolee et al., refer their co-ordinates to.
