Type:in situ hybridisation probe
Identifier:MGI:1275945
Entity Detected:Msx1, homeobox, msh-like 1 ( MGI:97168)
Notes:The probe used by Furuta et al, 1997 [PMID:9187146] is defined as a " 1 kb fragment of Msx1 (generously provided by Dr Robert Hill; Hill et al., 1989 [PMID:2565278] ) ". Hill et al., 1989 describe two Msx1 (Hox-7.1) probes: one "Probe 1, which represents the 3' half of the cDNA (and) contains a short stretch of the homeobox sequence" and a second "Probe 2, which comprises the 3' BssHII fragment and contains only material 3' to the homeobox". Unable to ascertain which of these probes was used here.
