regionalIntense expression of Igsf9 is detected in a distinct dorsolateral domain of the neural tube, a region corresponding to early postmitotic dorsal interneurons. Igsf9 is also expressed in the ventricular zone of the neuroepithelium, with progressively more ventrally restricted expression domain at more caudal levels. Expression is absent from the floor plate.
