Notes:The Hoxd1 (Hox-4.9) probe used in this study by Pitera et al., 2001 [PMID:11731253] was transcribed from a "cDNA (489 bp)", which was "derived from the 3'-UTR using forward primer (5'-GGACCTTGGGTCTACA-3') and reverse (5'-CCG-TGTGCTTCTCCATCCTCGC-3') (Frohman and Martin, 1992 [PMID:1356009] )". Editor's note: Based on the description from Pitera et al., the probe sequence cannot be fully defined as there is no signficant match between the reverse primer given and either GenBank ID X60034.1 (the Hox-4.9 cDNA sequence from Frohman & Martin) or the Hoxd1 mouse cDNA RefSeq NM_010467.2.
