StructureLevelPatternNotes
future brain
detected detected
regionalDorsal expression of Fbp1 in the developing brain was evident.
diencephalon
strong strong
regionalFbp1 expression in the ventral diencephalon and mesencephalon became more intense than that in 16-somite embryos.
future midbrain
strong strong
regionalFbp1 expression in the ventral diencephalon and mesencephalon became more intense than that in 16-somite embryos.
eye
detected detected
The optic vesicle (OV) showed Fbp1 expression at this stage.

Type:in situ hybridisation probe
Identifier:Folr1 probeA
Entity Detected:Folr1, folate receptor 1 (adult) ( MGI:95568)
Notes:The Folr1 (Fbp1) probe used in this study by Saitsu et al., 2003 [PMID:12508232] is one of two probes used that are described as follows: "We purchased two IMAGE cDNA clones (Lennnon et al., 1996 [PMID:8617505] ) from Research Genetics (Huntsville, AL). The insertions of the clones (ID: 3592216, 1514896) corresponded to nucleotide positions 13-669 and 280-677, respectively, in the mouse Fbp1 cDNA (Brigle et al., 1991 [PMID:1894617] ). These two different antisense probes demonstrated the identical staining patterns." Editors note: The sequences of the probes can be defined as follows, nucleotides 13-669 of M64782.1 and nucleotides 280-677 of M64782.1. However, it is not indicated in the paper which of the probes was used for this particular assay.
