Notes:The Fzd2 probe used in this study by van Gijn et al., 2001 [PMID:11303904] is described as follows: "The sense and antisense cRNA probe used for in situ hybridization (ISH) were derived from a 566 bp PCR fragment of rat frizzled 2. The PCR fragment was cloned into the pCII vector (Invitrogen, San Diego, Calif.), and the correct orientation of the insert was confirmed by sequencing. The plasmid was linearized with StuI (Pharmacia, Uppsala, Sweden), that cuts at a unique site in the sequence of the PCR fragment, resulting in a 327-base RNA transcript."
