Notes:The Plxna4 (Plexin-A4) probe template used in this study by Waimey et al., 2008 [PMID:18262512] is indicated as that used by Cheng et al, 2001 [PMID:11683995] i.e. a "DNA fragment generated from CD1 brain cDNA homologous to amino acids 330 through 750 in hPlexin-A4". Editors Note: there are 3 isoforms of human Plxna4: NP_065962.1 (1894aa); NP_861440.2 (522aa); NP_001099013.1 (492 aa). It is assumed that Cheng et al are referring to isoform 1 (NP_065962.1) as this is the only isoform long enough to correspond to their amino acid numbering. The region of the human cDNA encoding amino acids aa330-750 of NP_065962.1 was used to BLAST search for the equivalent region of the mouse Plxna4 RefSeq cDNA NM_175750.2.
