Notes:
This image contains one sagittally sectioned mouse head (left) and one coronally sectioned mouse head (right). Only the sagittal sample has been spatially mapped in this EMAGE entry. Image annotations: pcp, posterior choroid plexus; cp, lateral choroid plexus; tc, telocoel; dc, diocoel; ap, anterior pituitary (Rathke's pouch); t, tongue; m, mandible; fv, fourth ventricle; tp, tuberculum posterius; np, processes of nasal cavities.

Entity Detected:Msx1, homeobox, msh-like 1 ( MGI:97168)
Notes:The Msx1 (Hox-7) probe used in this study by Mackenzie et al, 1991 [PMID:1685989] is defined as a "600bp EcoRI fragment from one cDNA clone, containing 375bp of protein coding sequence (Mackenzie et al , 1991 [PMID:1680043] ). Mackenzie et al , 1991 [PMID:1680043] depict the probe schematically in Fig 1. Exact end positions are unknown as these values are ambiguous when comparing to Msx1 cDNA sequences in GenBank (eg. NM_010835.1).
