neural tube
detected detected
regionalTranscripts detected throughout the entire caudal tube
future brain
detected detected
regionalTranscripts appear rostrally in the primitive brain in neurones of the synencephalon and of the mesencephalic and motor nuclei of the trigeminal nerve.
trigeminal v preganglion
detected detected
regionalTranscrips appear rostrally in the primitive brain in neurones of the synencephalon and of the mesencephalic and motor nuclei of the trigeminal nerve.
future spinal cord
detected detected
regionalAuthors state that the earliest-born neurones in the rostral spinal cord, the motor neurones in the incipient ventral horn, are stained at this stage. (not shown)

Type:in situ hybridisation probe
Identifier:MGI:1934247
Entity Detected:Ncam1, neural cell adhesion molecule 1 ( MGI:97281)
Notes:The probe used in this study by Bally-Cuif et al, 1993 [PMID:8330525] is described as follows: "The DW3-le cDNA described in Barthels et al, 1987 [PMID:3595563] , was used as a probe. This cDNA covers part of exon 2, exons 3 to 9 and part of exon 10, which are present in all NCAM mRNAs". Barthels depict the probe in Fig 1 therein and the insert spans from approx nt250/260 to the EcoRI site at nt1635 of GenBank sequence Y00051.1. Exact 5' end point is undefined.
