Notes:The two potential probes used in this study by Boyl et al, 2001 [PMID:11532921] are described as follows: "The Otx2 probe employed in in situ hybridisation experiments on gastrulating wild-type embryos was probe (a) in Fig. 1A". Exact end points for this probe are undefined but the probe covers the 3' end of exon 1. The authors also describe another probe used in wholemounts which was "a murine fragment containing the entire coding sequence". It is unclear which probe has been used on this 10.5dpc section sample.
