Notes:The Gad1 (Gad67) probe used in this study by Casarosa et al., 1999 [PMID:9876181] is indicated as being originally described by Behar et al., 1994 [PMID:8131264] . However, Behar et al. describe two probes, where "one probe (ES ["embryonic stop"]) detects only the transcripts that include the ES stop codon. The other probe (AT) does not discriminate between transcripts encoding full-length GAD proteins and the alternatively spliced variants". Unable to ascertain which probe is used in Casarosa et al.
