Notes:The Hes1 probe used in this study by Koop et al., 1996 [PMID:8892234] is indicated as that originally described by Sasai et al., 1992 [PMID:1340473] i.e. a "EcoRI-SmaI fragment (723 bp) of pHES-1A". Editor note: pHES-1A was obtained by Sasai et al. by screening a rat embryo CNS (El7) library. pHES-1A was the clone with the longest insert and was subcloned into pBluescript SK(-) at the EcoRI site. Probe sequence end points are unknown as the end points of pHES-1A are unreported.
