Notes:
The section in Fig1S is taken from a wholemount such as that shown in Fig1R. Image annotations in Fig1R : Asterisk marks expression in the underlying forebrain. Arrow indicates expression along the oral edge of the medial nasal process.

Type:in situ hybridisation probe
Identifier:MGI:1202432
Entity Detected:Fgf17, fibroblast growth factor 17 ( MGI:1202401)
Notes:The Fgf17 probe used in this study by Bachler and Neubueser, 2001 [PMID:11165488] is indicated as that used by Maruoka et al., 1998 [PMID:9651520] . Maruoka et al in turn refer to Hoshikawa et al., 1998 [PMID:9514906] who describe a rat Fgf17 in situ hybridisation probe as well as a mouse Fgf17 cDNA fragment that was not used as an in situ hybridisation probe. The sequence start and end positions of either fragment is not discussed by the authors. Editors Note: It is unclear whether the rat or mouse fragment described by Hoshikawa was used in this study by Bachler and Neubueser.
