Note: Ba, branchial arches; Flb, forelimb bud. The authors state that expression is absent in this specimen, which is in concordance with RT-PCR data. Some weak apparent staining was seen in the forelimb bud and the mandibular branchial arch, but this apparent signal was not distinguishable from that observed in embryos hybridized with the corresponding sense probe.
