Notes:Popdc2 expression was revealed in this study by Froese & Brand, 2008 [PMID:18189275] in specimens heterozygous for a targeted allele where 490 bp of exon 1 and 27 bp of intron 1 were replaced with a nuclear localisation signal-beta-galactosidase reporter gene construct. The floxed neo cassette contained within the insert was subsequently removed by germ-line, cre-mediated recombination.
