Notes:The Foxg1 (Bf1) probe used in this study by Furuta et al., 1997 [PMID:9187146] is described as "a 1.2 kb fragment of Bf1 (a kind gift from Dr Eseng Lai; Tao & Lai, 1992 [PMID:1350202] )". Tao & Lai, 1992 however describe a rat probe "containing the BF-1 cDNA from the NheI site at nt 1265 to the 3' end" (see Figure 1 therein and Genbank ID M87634.1).
